- [3/23/2008] It's time to register for the Ocean Race. The race is Saturday, March 29. Sign up Online by March 26th to avoid a $55 late fee! Please read the NOR carefully and be sure you have all the required safety equipment aboard. There will be random inspections imediately following the race and boats without the proper equipment will receive a 60% scoring penalty. Also, remember the importance of having bolt cutters and/or hacksaws with spare blades. TPI and Hall recommend hacksaws are being more useful - a bolt cutter can be hard to use and can get wrecked on the first try, and then you have no back-up unless you also have a hack-saw.

Donkey Jack Crew wins Tenth Annual J/105 Toast Off!!
This year's Toast Off had the makings of a great event. Saturday's race was outstanding, the boats tied up together, each crew toasted the crew that "beat them", reportedly, 10-12 gallons of margaritas were consumed and everyone was happy. But there was only one winner and that was the Donkey Jack Crew who sang a version of "1-2-3-4-5 I Caught a Fish (RacerX) Alive". Finishing 2nd was the singing of RacerX accompanied with piano. Advantage3 scooped 3rd with "3 Blind Mice".
